Last week I got the opportunity to take our oldest daughter to the one night only Rascal Flatts Movie! Our daughter was pretty excited to go with me since she does share a liking for Rascal Flatts, not as much as I do, but she does listen to their music! This movie was so great! Not only did we get to hear their new music but we got to see a side of Rascal Flatts that we never really have seen. They share their ups and downs, personal/families lives and everything in between.
I have been listening to Rascal Flatts since their early days. I had a pretty traumatic experience 11 years ago. I was pregnant with our first daughter and my younger brother was killed in a freak accident. Those of you who have been pregnant know that your emotions are already all over the place, but throw in a tragic accident and there I was, crying everyday! I remember returning to work a few weeks after we laid my brother to rest, 6 months pregnant, still emotional and crying, wondering how to move forward. Turned on the radio and heard a voice that just completely calmed me, their voices were soothing. I can not even remember what song it was, but it was Rascal Flatts. I quickly became interested in who this group was and wanted to hear more! I have truly enjoyed every song since!
So not only did their music help me get through a really rough time in my life, their songs are just amazing! Not to mention that my hubby gets stopped all the time to only be asked, “Do you know you look like the lead singer from Rascal Flatts”!! He doesn’t think he looks like Gary at all, but I think he does a little!
More About The Film:
The movie featured a special welcome message to movie theater audiences from Rascal Flatts, followed by a 45 minute concert featuring a blend of brand new music from Changed and some of their greatest hits. They also went back stage with Jay, Gary and Joe Don for rare interviews and intimate glimpses into the lives of this very private band. The grand finale was a special Q&A with questions submitted from fans and movie theater audiences.
I can not wait to pick up their new CD, Changed!
