Cincinnati: Tips to Attend Bunbury Music Festival

bunbury festival 2015

Bunbury Music Festival opened yesterday with some great musical acts and was sold out! Cincinnati is loving the bands and completely enjoying the music, drinks and socializing- Just check out Instagram and you’ll see what I’m talking about. I thought I would give you a few tips if you are planning on attending today or tomorrow that may make your visit a little better! matt and kim bunbury music festval 2015

Bring a Few Things:
You will need your Driver’s License or State Id so have it with you. If you are a bringing a bag, they will check it so open it up and show them what’s inside. No weapons, coolers, food, pets, and so on are not permitted. To see the complete list, check here! It will be hot, there will be sun, there maybe rain, it will be crowded and loud! So a few things you may want to bring are things like sunblock, sunglasses or a hat, a blanket, poncho or umbrella, bug spray, ear plugs, hand sanitizer (bathrooms will be crowded and port a potties will run out of it) and your camera (no professional type cameras will be permitted). You can also bring a bottle of water with you, don’t throw it away when your done, there are water fountains and you can refill your bottle all day. You are not permitted to bring food or other drinks, so water bottles are great!

Entering the Venue:
The lines yesterday were wrapped around many, many blocks of downtown Cincinnati. But with that being said, the lines moved very quickly. The biggest hold up is the people that did not have their tickets readily available and some time to put bracelets on each and every guest walking in the venue! The staff was very friendly and patient but have your ticket ready, this will help keep the line moving and less time missing out on the music! They have also opened additional entrances to allow for a quicker entrance into the venue- Pete Rose Way at the end of Eggleston Ave by the entrance at Sawyer Point, at Butler as well as Public Landing by Yeatman’s Cove.

Bring Cash:
If you plan on eating or drinking while you are there, you will need cash to pay! There are ATM’s on site, but I have to tell you, I don’t think anyone either remember to bring cash or just didn’t bring enough, the lines for the ATM where always very long! So stop and grab plenty of cash before you come to help save time  and suffering of standing in line.

bunbury music 2015Parking:
Parking is available everywhere downtown, but can get pretty pricey! I paid $10 to park but walked about 4 blocks to get to the venue. The lots directly near the festival were $25 per vehicle to park. So have cash or try out Uber-the official safe ride of Bunbury! Use promo code BUNWEB15 for up to $20 off your FIRST ride. You can sign up here! You can also take a bike on the Cincinnati Bike Rental at Wheel Fun Rentals starting at $8 a day.

Download the App:
Save this handy schedule to your phone or download the Bunbury App at the links below and build your own personal schedule!

Google Play: http://bit.ly/1PsPWqj

Bathrooms:
There are several bathrooms and port a potties but the lines are pretty long, so be prepared and just bring a friend to stand in line with to pass the time! Here’s the map in case you need to find beverages & bathrooms! → http://bit.ly/1Q4l6tD
I received tickets to attend Bunbury Music Festival in exchange for a honest review. No other compensation was received and as always my opinion is 100% my own.
