How Do You Display Your Christmas Cards?

So this week I have slowly started dragging down the Christmas decorations from the attic in hopes that my hubby will be willing to put up the decorations this weekend. I know that seems early, but we have Thanksgiving at my brother-in-laws house and then at my mom’s house, so I normally don’t decorate a whole lot for Thanksgiving!

While digging through the 13 or 14 totes of Christmas decorations I have, I found last years Christmas cards! I love looking through all the different styles of cards we get every year and seeing how much all the kiddos grow from year to year!

I thought it would be interesting to see how you all display your holiday cards! We have always hung every card we get each year on the back of our front door. It’s so much fun to see how many cards we can get to fill up the door! Plus we get to see them every time we are heading out the door! Our girls think it’s fun to read them over and over again, they love to see how sends what cards! So how do you display your cards?

Tiny Prints provides simple, modern, and unique stationery from Christmas cardsNew Years cardsparty invitations, and address labels to thank you cards. Once the holidays have come and gone, Tiny Prints will still be here to fill your stationary needs with their exclusive designs from the nation’s top designers.  All year round, you’ll fine business cards, birth announcements and even custom wedding invitations. Come try the easy card personalization, a powerful preview engine and top-notch customer service and paper quality for yourself. With Tiny Prints by your side commemorating every holiday and momentous occasion is a cinch!

I received a gift card from Tiny Prints in hopes that I would post about their products. No other compensation was received. My opinion is 100% my own.

How Do You Prepare For Back To School?

Our kiddos went back to school yesterday and I have to say that it seemed like a very long process to get to that first day of school. Planning, planning and more planning seemed to be an everyday task starting about the second week in July! So I thought that I would share with you some of the tasks we did to prepare our kiddos for back to school!

First we started with hitting the books! Yes we were learning most of the summer even though school was not in session. We gave our kids about 4 weeks of very limited education and learning projects but starting mid July we started back to our normal after school reading, studying and preparing for their classes. We know that letting our kiddos go all summer without any educational activities is not good, so we like to make sure we keep their noses in the books!

Second we started shopping! They needed everything from school supplies, to back packs and to new clothes! Most office supply stores start selling back to school supplies earlier and earlier every year! Most of these stores offer these supplies for pennies and this is when you should stock up! We sorted through any supplies that we had left over from last year first and made a list of what supplies they still needed. Our school district had their supply list online so we were able to see what we needed without waiting until the week school starts. We also sorted through all of their clothes & shoes to see what fit and what was presentable for school to make a list of what they needed! After all that we made our list and over about 6 weeks grabbed all the items we needed for rock bottom prices with coupons, sales and clearance racks!!

We also started about 3 weeks ago attempting to get on a regular night time routine and morning schedule! Now this was something that we just could not seem to master this year and every night became a struggle to get everyone in bed at a decent hour! Only to lead to mornings not being even remotely close to the correct times we needed to be up and out the door to make the bus! So come Tuesday morning, it was a huge adjustment, but the kiddos adjusted very well!

After all that we sent our kiddos out the door Tuesday feeling like we did the best we could to prepare them for their new year of school! We love our kids and do everything we can to prepare them for each school year the best we can! So now it’s your turn, what did you do to prepare your kiddos to start school this year?

Are you looking for great back to school offers? Check out what great deals Tiny Prints has to offer you while planning your back to school shopping!

I was compensated to write this post from Tiny Prints about how we prepare for back to school. My opinion is 100% my own!
