Inspired by the wizard’s journey, the Road to the Emerald City Sweepstakes invites fans to Tweet their New Year’s resolutions, using #DisneyOz, for a chance to win the Grand Prize—a 4-day/3-night trip to Seattle, Wash., for two.

52 Weeks to a Organized & Clutter FREE House 2013- My New Year’s Resolution!

So I am going to try and actually finish what I planned last year, making this my New Year’s Resolution! Be sure to check back each week to see what I get accomplished and how you can finish these tasks at your home and get organized for 2013!

My New Year’s Resolution is to get our home in order and keep it that way. So I have been searching 100’s of books and websites to get ideas and tips on the problem area’s of our home to find solutions for each space! I need to find a home for every item in our house so that our kiddos will know where to put all of our belongings, making our home less cluttered!

Every year I start off with a huge list of things I want to accomplish for the new year but by March I feel overwhelmed and end up “forgetting” the rest of my list. This year I figured I would try and spread my tasks out over the whole year. One a week doesn’t seem so scary! So I listed below all the tasks I plan to complete over 2012 2013 and as I post them I will link to the post below for you to see how I organized and DE-cluttered some part of my house! Some of these tasks are to de-clutter spaces in our home that just seems to always have stuff there and to be frank, I am sick of seeing it!

Hosted by Tricia Macke and Ben Swan of Fox19 along with Jay Kruz of Rewind 94.9, the 2012 New Year’s Eve Blast will take place on December 31, from 8:00pm to 1:00am on Fountain Square. In addition to an entertainment line-up including live music and DJs, the event features traditional favorites such as all-night free ice skating on the US Bank Ice Rink (courtesy of Strauss Troy), a giant dance party, Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks and a special midnight “reveal” and holographic holiday light show by Partech Lighting.

The event is presented by the Aubrey Rose Foundation, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Barefoot Bubbly and Red Bull, along with media partners Fox19, Cincinnati Enquirer, and Rewind 94.9. The Aubrey Rose Foundation was founded by Jerry & Nancy Hollenkamp in memory of their daughter, Aubrey Rose Hollenkamp who passed away just before her 3rd birthday in 2000, and helps families caring for children with life-threatening illnesses.

 New Year’s Eve revelers can enjoy the Fountain Square celebration for free, or choose to purchase one of several VIP packages now on sale.

VIP Ticket Packages:    

·         $150 single ticket: admission to Via Vite party with balcony view of the Fountain Square celebration, entry in the door-prize raffle, open bar, dinner-by-the-bite, celebrity Meet & Greet and a champagne toast at midnight.

·         $325 single package: Regularly $375, this includes the above plus hotel accommodations for one at the Westin Hotel or Hilton Netherland Hotel. A limited number of these packages are available.

·         $450 couples package: Regularly $500, this includes all of the above for two people. A limited number of these packages are available.

Family Fun- Zoo New Year’s Eve Party

Looking for something to do tonight with the kiddos? Head to the Cincinnati Zoo for the PNC Festival of Lights and the Rozzi Fireworks Show starting at 8:55PM. We stopped by the Festival of Lights last night and our girls had a great time looking at all the Christmas lights, hanging out with a Snow Man and seeing some very tired Reindeer’s!!  You can also see the Madcap Theater Group, Gingerbread Village and the Rapping Elves!! So head on over to the Cincinnati Zoo, Festival of Lights start at 5pm and are open until 9pm.

You can stop by your local Kroger and get discount tickets or you can bring in specially marked Pepsi cans to get a discount as well!
