Donate Your Box Tops to Crestline Elementary- WA
Over the weekend a elementary school in Washington, Crestline Elementary school, burnt to the ground.
There are over 450 displaced kids with no school and no supplies. They are moving them to 5 schools, where the kids will be able to stay with their classmates and teachers, but the district is already over populated and poor. The biggest problem is the supplies are all gone. The building suffered irreparable damage and everything was lost.

Clean Out Your Binders & Donate Expired Coupons
It’s that time again- end of the month when you have lots of coupons that are expiring and you are wondering what to do with them. Don’t throw them away, donate them. Many of you may know military families overseas can use expired coupons 6 months after their expiration date. Stretching Your Budget is collecting coupons to send to our troops overseas to help them save money just like we do here!
Once a month they sort through the coupons into food & non food categories. They add up the total amount of the coupons and then mail them to 2 Military Bases in Italy.
They meet to sort coupons on the 2nd Saturday of every month at their church. If you would like to help support our troops, please mail your coupons to the address below!! It only costs you a stamp, but think of the greater impact you will have on someone else’s life!

Have You Shopped Your Local Habitat For Humanity ReStore?
Yesterday afternoon myself and our girls went out shopping with my mama. While we were out she said that we needed to stop by the local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store to see if they had a door that she needed for her house. I was completely unaware that there was a store you could purchase items that have been used previous in other homes. This not only saves items from heading to the landfills, keeps our price down on many products that are in fairly good condition but it also is a way for Habitat for Humanity to make additional funding to keep up the great work they do. What a great place!
Habitat for Humanity provides affordable housing for low income families with a no interest loan. But this isn’t just a hand out. There are many requirements to receive a home from Habitat for Humanity, one being the recipient must complete 500 hours of “sweat equity” on their own home or another project.
With 2 Billion people worldwide living in poverty Habitat for Humanity is busier more now than ever. And they need your help! Here is how you can help:
- Serve as a volunteer
- Donate to your local Habitat For Humanity (building supplies, services, stock, etc) or you can even donate a property
- Refer a family in need
I was very impressed with the quality and amount of products that were available. They carry new and used items. The used items for the most just needed a good cleaning or painting. Tubs, ceramic tile, windows, doors, cabinets and so much more! Our local store is open Tuesday through Saturday, you can find your local store here!

After a large amount of storms and tornadoes across the southern states, damage and destruction are all that are left in many areas. Many families are struggling to find shelter and food and there are many ways you can help. There are tons of great people who have organized collections to help those effected by Mother Nature.
I have teamed up with Cincysavers for the Rally for Relief.
All donations will go to Matthew 25 Ministries who will then distribute the donations to those in need.
- Non-perishable food — Pull top canned vegetables, fruits etc. Ready-to-eat dry goods such as nuts, peanut butter, dried fruits, granola and trail mixes, jerkies, snacks, bottled water.
- Personal care products — Antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, lotion, etc.
- Cleaning products — Laundry detergent, general cleaner, sponges, bleach (powdered form is preferred), mops, scrub brushes, buckets, rubber gloves, etc.
- Paper products — Toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
Secondary supplies for future shipments will be collected as well:
- Baby and infant supplies — diapers, wipes, diaper rash ointment, baby wash, baby shampoo, baby lotion, etc.
- First Aid items — Bandages, gauze, pads, First Aid tape, antiseptic creams, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, latex gloves, instant cold packs, etc.
