Walgreens rolled out a new Balance Rewards Program last week. With this program, members will receive exclusive savings each week by accumulating points. The points can then be redeemed at your local Walgreens store, online, or saved for future purchases. Customers must be Balance Rewards member in order receive the weekly sale prices.
You cannot use and earn points in the same transaction, meaning you can not pay for your transaction with points and expect to earn new points for the items you purchased. The amount of points you earn in a transaction will be reduced for the coupons used. Meaning the points are based on the amount you’ve paid, not on the original purchase price.
The breakdown of points in comparison to money earned is as follows:
5,000 points = $5
10,000 points = $10
18,000 points = $20
30,000 points = $35
40,000 points = $50
