Del Monte is offering K-12 public school teachers across the U.S., Canada and Central America a chance at $1,000 each ($750 in cash and $250 in fresh fruit gift certificates) for their classroom. The cash is to help teachers purchase much needed school supplies. The fruit is for classroom snacks and to encourage educational activities about fruit and healthy eating choices.
To enter, teachers must register online and submit a short essay on how they plan to use the cash if they would happen to win the contest. Winning teachers will be selected solely on the number of votes they receive online – so gather all your school’s parents and students, friends and family to go online and vote!
